“You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to look at the sky.” — James Barbour®
There was a day last week when I realized… I hadn’t looked up in a while.
I’d been staring at screens, chasing deadlines, jumping from one thing to the next.
You know that feeling —like life is one long series of tabs you forgot to close.
And then I stepped outside, just for a moment.
And there it was—this sky.
Painted in colors so bold they looked impossible.
Orange leaking into pink, streaks of lavender, a breeze that didn’t need to say anything at all to calm me down.
I stood there in complete silence. Not accomplishing anything.
Not fixing anything.
Just… existing.
And I realized how long it had been since I gave myself permission to do that.
We’re so obsessed with progress, with doing, with always being “on,” that we forget how to be.
So this Sunday, here’s your gentle reminder:
You’re allowed to pause.
You’re allowed to breathe.
You’re allowed to look at the sky.
You’re not behind.
You’re just human.
And sometimes that’s the most important thing to remember.
